I Dislike Charlotte’s Face… Wait What!?

That’s not what I meant!! SmackDown Live has done the impossible. They’ve destroyed Charlotte’s momentum. Now they’re looking to build it back up, too little too late!

That’s right, Charlotte’s appearance on SmackDown Live as a face is not going down well. At the same time, Naomi is being forgotten as the champion, being beaten by Carmella (with a roll-up to be fair).

But did they really need to introduce Charlotte with the Welcoming Committee? The purpose of this (hopefully brief) feud is to boost the division as a whole, it just hasn’t worked out the way it was intended. Carmela and Ellsworth are the amusing characters, Natalya is the legitimate threat, and Tamina appears as a second thought added on at the last minute.

On the other side of the ring, you have a forgotten champion in Naomi, an overlooked champion in Becky, and the one person who should be champion: Charlotte. Don’t count out the Ellsworth factor, but this seems one sided.

After Backlash? Well Charlotte made it clear, she’s coming for the belt. But with no momentum behind her, it may be difficult to re-energise the crowd. Hopefully this will include a return to form as the beautiful heel she is. We will just have to wait and see what happens on the SmackDown Live after Backlash!

It’s a shame that Charlotte didn’t become the first RAW and SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, but the push for Alexa Bliss has been fantastic with incredible results.  Therefore I am willing to forgive and forget this Welcoming Committee… just drop it like it’s hot after backlash please!

When we think about it, we’re left with great potential.  Charlotte has many options as to how she can take the championship from Naomi, it’s just a matter of when really.  In fact, Charlotte could turn during the match up at Backlash… anything is possible in the land of opportunity!

What do you think?  How is Charlotte going to be used after Backlash?  Let us know in the comments!
